ABOUT -

Some photographers find their why in a camera.
I found mine in a cardboard box.

My parents had a box of old film negatives in the attic. Kodak film stocks in old developer envelopes with faded prints, the grain and color of film that had been sitting untouched for twenty years. Looking at those photos I realized something - film had held onto something that digital pictures in an endless camera roll on a phone never quite does.

I grew up in the Finger Lakes. Spent twelve years in New York City. Ended up in Rochester - the birthplace of Kodak, which felt like the universe saying something.

I've been shooting film for years - and using it to capture an authentic slice of my own life and those of friends, family and clients. I even shot my own proposal on film.

"Film slows everything down. You take fewer frames and choose them more carefully. It feels more authentic, because it is."

I shoot intimate weddings, elopements, engagements, and proposals throughout Rochester, the Finger Lakes, and beyond. If you're planning something small and meaningful and you want photographs that feel like the day actually felt - I'd love to hear about it.
